■  Realism


Despite many unexpected emotions in life,

some settled, some unsettled,

I always stand facing everything head-on, with all sincerity.

Art comes into shape via transits from rebellion, acquisition & requisition, integration to renaissance and innovation. Residing in the current art environment in this new epoch, I have been devoting years of research onto colors, (shape) designs, texture construction, holding such a view that creations are not merely simple replications of the natural beauty in life, but rather, they are essence of art after going through artistic processing, distilling and transcending, while sharing with viewers the harmony in styles and the pleasantness in colors to create one’s own works with specific personal flairs. The works are mainly created to express feelings, to reflect an inner spiritual state, with the above psychological process recorded faithfully as a testimony to a certain existence. That is then transferred onto the canvas to serve as the most ideal interpretation of the flow in life through the touch of pen strokes and one’s experiences in life.

The work is not only a recording of the moment but also an expression of all pleasantness in life. During the creation process, I come across my innermost self, sincere, earnest, and pristine. Whenever I focus and reflect, it is not only an act of recalling but also a tour of internal refining and scouring, sincere and honest. The work has its style in metaphors crossing paths with experiences all integrated in such characteristics that the interaction between thoughts of “order and non-order” is thus presented to catalyze the inner transcendence within the viewer. It’s an awakening in the philosophical realm, a deep inroad into one’s inner psyche where the non-ordinariness in all life’s ordinariness can be sensually experienced and where one will obtain an insight towards all matters in life, including people, events and objects, eventually with new layers of discoveries rendering attempts at resolving the innumerable with simplicity. Only with earnest creation will the internal spring of faith and complete focus be surging with fundamental gratitude and content for all happenings in life. Because one is willing, one can hold himself/herself to account, no greed, no complications, and no uncalled-for compromises. Learning to be satisfied in life is an exercise of sincerity, thus an act of faith in oneself. To arrive at some accomplishments on the strength of that faith is to live, to embody sincerity, to live the truest form of art.

縱然人生有許多不可知的情緒

也許確定、也許不確定

我卻一直以真誠的心去面對

藝術的形成由反叛、研習、融合、復古而出新，身處新世紀的藝術環境，這些年我一直研究於色彩、造型、和肌理的製作，並認為作品不是生活自然美的簡單複製，而是經過藝術處理、提煉、昇華出的藝術精粹，與觀賞者分享形式的和諧，色彩的愉悅，來創造獨具自己個性的作品。作品以抒情為主，反映其心靈寫照，並將其心路歷程真實紀錄，紀錄一種存在，把一種存在的東西移轉到畫布上，透過筆觸及對生命的體驗，呈現在藝術作品上，為生命中的那股流做了最佳的詮釋。

作品內涵表達除了記錄當下與生活周遭的美好，在創作過程中也找回最初的誠心意念，每當我專注回想，不僅是回憶，更是內心的真誠洗鍊。而作品形式隱喻交叉經驗綜合的特徵，呈現出「秩序與非秩序」的思維互動，透過這樣的表現可以引發觀賞者的昇華作用，以一種哲學性的省悟，進而深入自己的內心世界，去感應平凡生活中的不平凡，對每一件人、事、物都明白，就會有不一樣的發現，嘗試以簡單去幻化無數。唯有真誠的創作，才是心中所有專注與信仰的泉源，更是對生活週遭感謝與滿足的根本。因為甘願，所以能為自己交代，不貪心、不複雜、也不委屈求全。學會對生活滿足就是真誠，就是自我信仰，在信仰中成就一些事，就是生活、就是真誠、就是最真的藝術。
